Aronlight Product Assistant: what it is today

What the assistant reads, what it can answer, where it stops today, and how your testing will get it ready for the sales reps.

What it is

A signed-in chat where the team asks product questions in plain language

It lives inside the Aronlight Adaptto app (sidebar → Assistant). It reads Aronlight’s data. It never changes it.

✓

Signed in, for Aronlight’s team

Any signed-in Aronlight employee can use it. It is not a public chatbot.

✓

Plain-language questions

Ask the way a rep would ask you. It answers in the language you write in, briefly, with SKU, name and figures.

✓

Read-only

It never creates or changes quotes, orders or customer records.

✓

Does not invent products

It answers only from three read-only tools (next slide). If nothing matches, it says so.

Example questions shown in the app
Do we have a 30W IP65 downlight?
Is ILAR-00505 in stock?
What would we match ‘luminária 60x60 4000K’ to?
Checked: the catalogue · stock in Odoo · the matcher

Each answer can show this one-line trail, naming which of the sources were checked successfully for that answer.

What information it uses

Today: three read-only tools, the same ones the quote screens use

Answers come from three read-only tools only (catalogue search, live Odoo stock, and the same product matcher the quote screens use), not from inventing SKUs or a separate datasheet chat.

Today · what the assistant calls
1 · Catalogue searchsynced from Odoo into Adaptto
  • SKU, name, list price, category
  • Watt, lumen, kelvin, IP, dimensions
  • Available and incoming quantity, date
  • Unknown SKU is “unknown”, not “zero”
3 · Product matchersame matcher as the quote screens
  • Customer’s line → chosen Aronlight SKU
  • Or abstains; up to 5 alternatives
Already in Adaptto, but the assistant does not call it yet
A · We have it: catalogue provenance

Visible on the catalogue screens. Merged into catalogue fields, so the assistant sees a value only once it has won into the catalogue.

  • Ficha técnica: values read from the datasheet PDF
  • Ficha dimensions: read from the ficha by AI
  • From base SKU: specs inherited by variants
  • Odoo variant attributes
  • Specs from the product name: parsed on sync, ranked below ficha and Odoo
B · We have it and use it: RFQ / quote screens

Shared already: catalogue search, live stock and the matcher (including reading specs from the customer’s line).

  • Ficha técnica link on each quote line
  • Reading the RFQ document: document over email sender, buyer VAT checks
  • Creating quotes and orders: RFQ flow only; the assistant is read-only
What it can answer

Three kinds of question it answers today

Catalogue fit

“Do we have a 30W IP65 downlight?”

Uses: product catalogue

Searches the catalogue by specs and returns matching products with SKU, name, price and key specs.

Stock

“Is ILAR-00505 in stock?”

Uses: live Odoo stock

Checks Odoo once an exact SKU is known: quantity available, plus incoming quantity and date.

Matching customer wording

“What would we match ‘luminária 60x60 4000K’ to?”

Uses: product matcher

Runs the customer’s line through the same matcher as the quote screens and returns its pick, or says it abstained, with alternatives.

Language

Replies in the language of the question.

Short answers

SKU, name and figures, kept brief.

Honest misses

Says “nothing matched” or that the matcher abstained, instead of guessing.
What it cannot do yet

Four limits today, each a deliberate step we can take next

These are today’s limits, not promises. The last one is the next step we want to plan with you.

×

No quotes or orders

It cannot create or edit quotes or Odoo orders, or change customer records. Quote work stays in the quote screens.

×

No datasheet / ficha técnica search

It has no separate ficha tool. Ficha values reach it only where they already fill catalogue fields (watt, lumen, kelvin, IP, size).

!

Chat history stays in the browser

Conversations are not saved on our side. “Clear” deletes the chat from the browser only.

!

Not on WhatsApp yet

A WhatsApp version for reps is planned, not built. It is the next step we want to shape with you.

Also: the assistant can pause for the day if the shared daily AI budget runs out.
How we make it better

Today we see who asks and how often, not what they ask

To learn from real questions, we need to start saving them. That is a product change we have not built yet.

Today · what we can see

Who asked, and how often

  • Who asked and when, per employee
  • Question counts and AI cost
  • Which of the three checks ran
  • Not the question text
  • Not the answer text
  • Not which source backed each answer
Next · product change

Log each question and answer

  • For every answered question, save the question and the answer
  • Save which sources were checked, and whether they worked
  • Save who asked and when
Then · use it

Fix gaps before WhatsApp

  • Show the most common questions
  • Show the failures: no answer, a check that errored, the matcher abstaining
  • Fix catalogue and matcher gaps, so the WhatsApp version starts stronger
What we need from you

Ricardo, you lead testing toward sales-rep use

You answer the reps’ questions every day, so you are the best judge of whether its answers are right.

1 · This week

Try it

Ask it the real questions reps send you: product fit, stock, “what do we match this to?”.

2 · As you go

Note wrong or thin answers

Copy the question and what was wrong or missing. We do not save questions yet, so your notes are our only record.

3 · Then

20 minutes of feedback

A short call to go through your notes. It sets what we fix first and how we take it to the sales reps, and later to WhatsApp.
